Its a naughty video that pokes fun at Robert Mugabe… Looks like Freshlyground are now on that political tip… Lets hope they dont team up with Evita next and make a sing a long cook book… Although, that’s not a bad idea…lol… Freshlyground Koeksisters…

    So you may be wondering who Lunga Shabalala is, well he is the winner of one of the biggest male underwear competitions to hit South Africa. CK recently held a nation wide search to find one lucky guy who will represent CK South Africa. You may have seen posters at various Edgars stores and even at your gym. Well the competition was held over a few months, and the finals were held this past Saturday at Edgars in Melrose Arch. At the finals, 10 guys were in the running for the title of representative of CK South Africa.

    The show was packed with sexy guys strutting their stuff in white and black CK undies…

    Well after much breath loss, the winner was chosen from the above 10, and the winner was 21 year old Durbanite, Lunga Shabalala.I caught up with this friendly, young and very sexy guy, to get to know him better…

    This year’s PRIDE Committee are planning the first official Pride After Party in many years…

    This promises to be a huge event, in fact they have just confirmed international female DJ Sonique to perform.

    Its all going down after the Pride Parade at the Standard Bank Arena.

    “We’re thrilled with the Standard Bank Arena – it’s a fantastic venue,” says Joburg Pride Co-chair Tanya Harford. “In addition to having world-class facilities, the arena can also accommodate a significant crowd without fear of dangerous and uncomfortable overcrowding and overheating – as is often the case with these kinds of larger parties,” she notes.

    Levi’s Jeans have just launched a new campaign, just in time for Woman’s Month, called “Believe”

    They selected four South African personalities to be the faces of this range.
    The ladies wont only be the faces of this new range, but they will also help with the Levi’s Red For Life HIV AIDS project.

    “We are incredibly excited to be working with these phenomenal young artists – in just a short time we have seen a strong bond develop between them and a desire to collaborate both with each other and with the brand” says Debbie.  “As both individuals and a collective, these women have the talent and the commitment to make an impact, and we’re thrilled to be on this journey with them.”

    This is a funny video of Slikour’s Ventilation Volume 3 CD.

    The video features a few familiar faces, including DJ SBU, CLEO, KWESTA and DJ LUDA who plays the pimp. It also stars two well known girls on the Jozi party scene. Aldecia and Catherine. Quick question, and I’m not hating, but is Catherine wearing the same dress in both music video’s… #epicfail

    I really like the beat of the song and the video is clean and well made… Watch the video, and you too may want to enter into Club Monate.

    A quick well done to Nicole Flint, Miss South Africa, for doing so well in the Miss Universe pageant last night. She made it to the top 10…
    I think she should enter the Top Billing presenter competition… Although she already has the job, regardless… (You kno they love ex Miss South Africa’s…)

    Sadly Mexico won… But wow, she is stunning!!!

    The opening of the video is a bit dramatic. I like the idea… but still a bit dramatic…

    Catherine Turgeon stars in this video as well as the Slikour video… Looks like she is becoming the next video ho!.  (Happy Birthday Catherine.)

    Anyways the rest of the video is cool, and its a hot song. Its kinda old, but its a fresh remix. Reminds me of DJ Warras. (He knows why…lol… ;-) )

  • Zola set to perform in Brazil

    Talented kwaito star, Bonginkosi ‘Zola’ Dlamini has been asked to attend and perform at this year’s BACK2BLACK FESTIVAL, one of Brazil’s biggest musical festivals aimed at showcasing musical talents from around the world.

    Added to his performance, Zola will also be a guest speaker and take part in a debate to discuss Democracy and Human Rights. He will be joined by Nigerian renowned writer, Chris Abani.

    Having witnessed Zola’s musical offerings grow and his socially conscious track record, the organizers of the Back2Black didn’t waste time to add him to the lineup.

    “We have just completed our task of hosting the World, and it is an amazing opportunity to travel to Brazil as they begin the process of preparing to do the same in 2014,” he said.

    Zola will perform with musical giants such as Erykah Badu, Seun Kuti, Dave Stewart (of the Eurythmics), Frejat, Elza Soares and the legend, Taj Mhal.

    The time has come when beautiful ladies from all across the globe flock to one central stage to take part in the biggest beauty contest in the world, Miss Universe.

    Its all going down on the 23rd August at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vagas.

    But before the contest begins, I was invited to see exactly what Nicole Flint, Miss South Africa will be wearing on the special evening.

    Her ball gown is designed by Malcolm Kluk

    “This is not a typical pageant dress and should create quite a stir”, says Malcolm Kluk. “The colours are vivid and a perfect foil for Nicole’s brunette beauty.

  • RIP Fiona Coyne

    You may remember her as the host of the exciting game show, Wekest Link. Well Fiona Coyne was more than just a host of one of South Africa’s top game show’s, she was also one of the country’s top female actors.

    Sadly she has just passed away.

    Reports say she died in a car accident. But the most recent report says she died at home.
    It all seems rather mysterious?

    Apparently she committed suicide. She had recently split with her husband, but she was happy about the divorce… Hmmm?

    Well I am sure all will be revealed in due time.

    Spanish pop music singer and songwriter Enrique Iglesias is set to perform at Johannesburg’s Emmarentia Botanical Gardens in September.

    The international star will hold a concert on September 9 to inaugurate the next series of Champions League Twenty20 matches. Tickets are selling at R330

    So I attended the Men’s Health Best Men’s Awards last week. More about that later…

    I was happy that well known DJ and music producer won the award for Artist of the year…

    In his acceptance speech, he thanked everyone, including his fiance… (My ears then pinged… Fiance?)

    I then noticed him with the well known TV personality, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa… And the two of them were holding hands and walking together like a happy couple…

    I didnt know the two were dating… So this is me saying Mazel Tov to a new potential power couple…

    Perhaps, this was were they first met? Altho they seem pretty close here…?
